Join us for the second of our regional webinar series. Each session will address topics requested in our regional education needs survey which was circulated in April 2019.

This session will provide an update on breast, ovarian and cervical cancers, including:

  • The importance of taking a detailed family history
  • The selection of imaging modality
  • The role of Ca125
  • Referral pathways for regional patients

Learning outcomes

At the end of this session, participants should be able to*:

    1. Provide information to women and their families about their risk of breast cancer
    2. Identify the most appropriate breast imaging modalities for women with symptoms
    3. Discuss the use of HPV vaccines to prevent cervical cancer
    4. Recall the guidelines for cervical screening and summarise the benefits of the renewed National Cervical Screening Program
    5. Discuss lack of ovarian cancer screening options with patients
    6. Demonstrate increased confidence in the management of ovarian cysts and diagnosis of ovarian cancer in general practice
